See what I did there?? DA Vikings…pretty slick, huh? Oh well I thought it was funny, but let’s get to the point. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears and it feels so good.

I will be honest I was a little worried about this game because the Vikings  were 1-13 in their last 14 visits to Solider Field. I know what you’re thinking, and call me superstitious or crazy but the thought of this silly “curse” did cross my mind, but the “curse” is over and the Vikings improved the team’s record to 5-2.

Why we won, let me explain. Because we are a good team, dang it!  We made big plays when they were needed, our special teams accounted for at least 16 of the 23 points that were scored. Kicker, Blair Walsh was on fire.  Wide receiver,  Stefon Diggs is a beast and let me quote actor Josh Duhamel, who is a loyal Vikings fan… “We’ve got a defense that’s nasty, fast, deep and under-respected”. I agree, our defense is so nasty and we are under respected.  Mike Zimmer came in and did a total 360 on this defense.

Opposing teams need to recognize that this Vikings defense is not the defense of the past, when we were ranked near the last in the league. Our defense is tough. Like the Marvel Avengers we have our American Soldier like defensive end, Everson Griffen. Our Incredible Hulks, in defensive tackles, Joseph Linval, and Shariff Floyd. Our defensive end, Brian Robinson. Our Demi Gods in linebackers, Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks. Our master assassins, like cornerback, Xavier Rhodes and safety, Harrison “Hitman” Smith and we will come out ready to destroy all things that get in our way every single game day.

With that said, we’re ready for the St. Louis Rams today.  The Vikings will be without DT Sharrif Floyd and LB Eric Kendricks, but no worries our defense is still strong and I believe will still have the force to stop the speed of running back, Todd Gurley. But the question is, can the St. Louis Rams stifle our own, Adrian Peterson?  Plus our special teams is so special. I am positive special teams coach, Mike Priefer will has something up his sleeves for today’s match.  If you ask me, Sunday’s game will be a fight until the end.  We know that both teams have explosive running backs and powerful defenses but we know that there can only be one winner. Who will it be?

Until next week,
