Aaron Rodgers said the team needed to run the table, and it’s hard to argue that any other team is going into the playoffs with more momentum than the Green Bay Packers. Once counted out completely at 4-6, Green Bay has won six games in a row, and emerged as the NFC North Champions. Wild-Card weekend will close out Sunday with a matchup between the 11-5 New York Giants and the 10-6 Green Bay Packers, at Lambeau Field.
As confident as I am that Green Bay can not only make it to the Super Bowl this year, but WIN it all, Sunday’s game isn’t going to be easy. The Giants have one of the best defenses in the league. However, that defense hasn’t faced Aaron Rodgers, back in his prime, a likely candidate for the leagues MVP. And remember, the Packers defeated the Giants 23-16 when they met in week 5.
Green Bay’s defense has struggled this year, but so has the Giant’s offense. Which is more important – having the strongest defense, or having the stronger offense? Most would pick defense. But most teams don’t have Aaron Rodgers. I think out of all the games this weekend, this one is the one to watch. Biased opinion? Perhaps. I’ll admit that. BUT! I strongly believe we will see the winner of this game representing the NFC in this year’s Super Bowl.
Currently, betting odds have Green Bay winning this game. But we’ve seen crazy upsets happen before. I’m going with Green Bay 23 Giants 14. What do you think? Tweet me @lucyrk78 and let me know!
