The Pittsburgh Steelers keep on keeping on. Steelers faced the New York Jets Sunday, ending their “bumblebee jersey” era 3-3 with a win over the Jets.

Pittsburgh is currently sitting on top of the AFC NORTH.

Pittsburgh Steelers- 4-1

Baltimore Ravens- 3-2

Cincinnati Bengals- 2-3

Cleveland Browns- 0-5

The Steelers offense is continuing to look unstoppable. While being reminded of Martavis Bryant‘s yearlong suspension with every Sammie Coates drop on Sunday, you quickly were reminded of the confidence Ben Roethlisberger has in the young receiver. Coates suffered a laceration in his left hand that required stiches during half time but that still did not stop Roethlisberger from finding Coates for four catches in the second half. Coates scored his first NFL touchdown in the 1st quarter with a 72-yard pass from Roethlisberger and scored his second late in the 4th quarter

Star wide receiver Antonio Brown caught 9 of 11 targets for 78 yards and one touchdown pass. But it has been the return of Le’Veon Bell that has this offense on fire. In just two weeks Bell leads the NFL with 332 yards from scrimmage and 210 rushing yards.  Since the return of Bell, Roethlisberger has outdone himself: 9 touchdown passes and zero interceptions.  While Ben, Bell and Brown are all healthy, the consistency of the offensive line (even with injuries) and key players like TE Jesse James, Pittsburgh’s offense can continue to achieve their goal of 30+ points each game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense shut down the Jets offense leaving them to linger with only 100 yards, 5 first downs and no points in the second half. Although the defense held up and didn’t allow the Jets to convert on 3rd down in the second half; it’s starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to the Steelers defense and their injuries. DE Cameron Heyward left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury that has the team’s leaders in sacks sidelined for 2 weeks. Possible return date for Heyward will be Week 9 against AFC North rival the Baltimore Ravens.

The Steelers face the 1-4 Miami Dolphins this Sunday. Dolphins rookie cornerback Xavien Howard is out this 2016 season with a knee injury. While the Dolphins have this matchup at home, the team is desperate for a win. QB Ryan Tannehill has 4 turnovers, three interceptions, one lost fumble and has been sacked 11 times in 5 weeks… you can assume Fins fans are getting restless. The Steelers are still favored in this matchup against the Dolphins due to that loaded offense, but as we see from week to week anything is possible in these kinds of matchups.

But it’s not like the Steelers to crumble on a road game and lose. Right? Ask the Philadelphia Eagles.

After this Week 6 matchup against the Dolphins, Steelers face off with returning QB Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Week 7 and then have that along waited BYE week in Week 8.
